Yuval Oved

by Joy Bernard | 03.05.16

While there are plenty of wordy people who have a touch of the poet to them, Telavivian singer, songwriter and composer Yuval Oved took his passion for Israeli contemporary poetry one step further.

Oved has recently launched a new musical project in order to bring the words that touch him to life. The idea for the project was born when he first sat down to read Tom Hadani Nave’s poetry book. He was enchanted with the poet’s messages and was inspired to start.

Oved has composed poems by other contemporary poets as well, merging Israeli pop music with the local Indie scene. He performs his intelligent interpretations of the modern, urban texts with a talented acoustic ensemble (Ron Shenhav on the bas and Dor Kaminka on the piano).

Catch Yuval Oved and his ensemble this Saturday, May 7th, 21:00.  At Yehoshua Bar, Ben Yehuda 22, Tel Aviv-Yaffo. Facebook event.
